Japan and South Korea act to mitigate Hormuz supply shock | East Asia Tonight 31 March

To ease a supply crunch stemming from the war on Iran, South Korea has pushed an extra budget while Japan mulls support for nations that are able to supply vital goods. Tokyo meanwhile is stepping up energy cooperation with Indonesia. Also on East Asia Tonight, China welcomes an EU parliamentary delegation to the country. It’s the first such visit in eight years. However, friction remains over trade, human rights and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
