Malaysia’s central bank revises growth forecast slightly up while flagging war on Iran risks
Malaysia’s central bank expects the country’s economy to grow by between four and five percent this year. That’s a small upward revision from the earlier forecast of four to four-point-five percent, but slower than the five-point-two percent recorded for last year (2025). Bank Negara Malaysia says domestic resilience and diversified exports will help it to withstand external challenges, especially conflicts in the Middle East. Melissa Goh reports.
