CGTN Giant panda returns to Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic Area

On March 29, staff at the Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic Area in Sichuan Province spotted a giant panda during a patrol. Based on preliminary assessments, the wild panda is estimated to be around 2 to 3 years old and weighs approximately 50 kilograms – highly likely a sub-adult in its growing stage. Staff have collected the panda’s feces and extracted DNA samples for testing. This marks the first time a live, healthy wild giant panda has been found in the Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic Area since the 2017 earthquake. #ChinaSeen #coolchina #panda
