A pregnant woman went into labour and gave birth during a beauty appointment at a Chinatown salon on Wednesday (Mar 25).

Salon staff told CNA she began experiencing contractions, and it soon became clear she was about to give birth in the shop. About 10 minutes later — before emergency services arrived — the customer delivered the baby in the salon with the help of staff.

The woman was later seen in a video posted by the salon being wheeled out by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel, with her baby. #singapore #sgnews
