What cluster bombs lack in accuracy, they make up for their destructive power spread out over a large area, often severely injuring and killing civilians as a result. The danger posed by cluster bombs was a key reason over 100 nations signed a UN treaty banning their use as of 2010.

But as the U.S.-Israel war against Iran continues, observers are seeing signs of the deadly munition in use once again.
