China to leverage AI to create new jobs, says minister #chinaagenda2026
China’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Security Wang Xiaoping said on Saturday that the rapid advancement of AI is profoundly impacting employment. She noted that the ministry is actively researching relevant policies to leverage AI’s potential in creating new jobs and empowering traditional roles. The goal, she added, is to promote inclusive development that harmonizes technological progress with improved livelihoods. Wang was speaking at a press conference on people’s livelihood on the sidelines of the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) in Beijing.
