CNA Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict: Clashes continue for 3rd day as other nations call for urgent talks

Fighting between Pakistan and Afghanistan has continued for a third day, even as diplomatic efforts intensify, with the international community calling for urgent talks. Islamabad says its forces have killed more than 300 Afghan troops, while Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers say they have captured a Pakistani pilot from a jet that crashed in Jalalabad.
