On the second day of his China trip, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz paid a visit to the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, in Beijing on Thursday, accompanied by a German delegation as he walked among the red-tiled roofs and gray brick walls, according to China News Service.
