CNA How Bangladesh’s youth movement will continue to shape politics under new government

On Feb 12, Bangladesh held its first elections since mass uprisings in 2024 toppled a long-standing government under Sheikh Hasina. Tarique Rahman was sworn in as prime minister last week, after his Bangladesh Nationalist Party secured a two-thirds majority in parliament. The BNP is no stranger to government in Bangladesh, having had two stints in power – the first in the 1990s and again in the early 2000s. Afifah Ariffin reports from Kuala Lumpur.
