For six months, the Dawes family of Calgary has been living in their car. It’s an unsustainable solution for the family of six who have affectionately named their car ‘Shiela.’

Finding a shelter to take in the family has been a challenge. “They want to put us all in different shelters. And it’s not right to separate me and my husband from our children,” says mom Krista.
