World leaders gathered in Kyiv to mark four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion, lighting candles for the dead as Ukraine faces a fifth year of war with no clear path to negotiations.

President Volodymyr Zelensky pressed for a €90bn, two‑year EU support package, despite Hungary and Slovakia vetoing new sanctions and signalling resistance.
