on the first day of Budget debates in Parliament. And more help on the way for small and medium-sized firms to adopt artificial intelligence responsibly, while ensuring strong safeguards are in place. MPs also call for enhanced childcare and caregiver support for families, especially those in the “sandwiched class”. Meanwhile opposition Workers’ Party MPs urge greater transparency in public spending as Singapore logs a budget surplus of S$15.1 billion. But MPs from the ruling PAP say the surplus is beneficial amid global uncertainty.
