Chinese robot makers race to meet surging demand during Spring Festival #coolchina
China’s robotics industry saw strong demand during the Year of the Horse Spring Festival, with factories running at full capacity to meet rising orders both domestically and internationally. Just two hours after the start of the Spring Festival Gala, JD – one of China’s leading e-commerce platforms – reported robot-related searches up over 300 percent, customer inquiries up 460 percent, and orders up 150 percent. Orders came from more than 100 cities, with many robot models quickly selling out.
