China’s Su Yiming celebrated his 22nd birthday in sensational style by winning the men’s snowboard slopestyle final with an unbeatable first run on Wednesday.

His heroics secured China’s first gold at the Milano Cortina Olympics.

Su, the slopestyle silver medalist at Beijing 2022, started the first of three runs with impressive jumps and clean landings in the Alpine town of Livigno.

It capped off a celebratory day for Su as China also enjoys the New Year.
