905-meter escalator system begins trial operation in China’s Chongqing
A new way to scale the mountains has arrived in Wushan County, southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality. The newly launched Shennyu escalator system features 21 escalators, 8 elevators, 4 moving walkways, 2 pedestrian overpasses, and 2 cross-line passages. Once fully operational, it will cut travel time between the upper and lower sections from nearly one hour to just 20 minutes. (recorded)
