Across generations: Nauru’s president returns to his Chinese roots
“I feel like I’m not a stranger anymore. I feel like family,” said David Adeang, president of the Republic of Nauru, during his visit to his ancestral hometown in Jiangmen, south China’s Guangdong Province. Reuniting with villagers and taking part in Spring Festival traditions, he said people-to-people exchanges help strengthen ties between China and Nauru.
