CGTN U.S. President Donald Trump says talks with Iran ongoing

U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that talks with Iran were ongoing, but American warships have also been sent toward the country. Iran’s top diplomat has said Tehran is ready for negotiations with the U.S. as the two countries reportedly prepare to send top envoys to Istanbul for high-stakes talks on the Iranian nuclear program on Friday, according to senior Middle East diplomats and a U.S. official.
