Experts are calling for parents to engage their children more closely on safe gaming, the values around violence, as well as the risky ideologies that can surface in online platforms. They say such digital worlds can function like unsupervised public spaces, where youngsters easily encounter strangers, extreme views and powerful influences online without adult supervision. This, as gaming platforms like Roblox and Gorebox — which are popular with youngsters — have become fertile ground for extremist ideologies. Noah Kong reports.
