Pan Trinbago Highlights Efficiency And Fairness Ahead Of Panorama Semis

Pan Trinbago says tighter stage management, consistent judging conditions, and expanded digital access are shaping a more efficient Panorama season, as Medium and Large bands prepare for the semi-finals at the Queen’s Park Savannah.

With panyard judging in its last week, attention is shifting to the Savannah stage, which Pan Trinbago Public Relations Officer, Kwesi Moore, says removes many of the acoustic advantages and disadvantages that can affect performances in smaller, enclosed spaces.

“We called the Savannah, or whichever stage we go on for the semifinals, the great equaliser, because everybody is now on an equal playing field. Nobody has the benefit of buildings around them. Nobody has the disadvantage of being in a big open space.”

Mr. Moore said efficiency is also a major focus this year, with strict start times and tightly managed transitions designed to keep the show running smoothly for both performers and audiences.

“There’s one thing our president doesn’t play with. Time. There’s our stage managers, Michelle and Mitchell, starting on time and keeping the show running efficiently. And you see that Savannah party where we’re having about 30 bands crossing the stage? You don’t want to go until 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning.”

Pan Trinbago has also expanded access beyond the venue, offering a pay-per-view option for international audiences, as Panorama continues to attract global interest from the Caribbean diaspora and beyond.
