यूजीसी रूल्स 2026 के विरोध में यूपी पीसीएस के अधिकारी अलंकार अग्निहोत्री ने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने अपने इस्तीफे की एक वजह शंकराचार्य के अपमान को भी बताया है। इसके अलावा कवि कुमार विश्वास ने भी इन रूल्स का विरोध किया है। इस बीच यह मामला लगातार तूल पकड़ रहा है और भाजपा के भीतर भी इसे लेकर असंतोष की स्थिति है। यही कारण है कि रायबरेली और लखनऊ में भाजपा के नेताओं ने इस्तीफे दिए हैं। इसके अलावा ब्रजभूषण शरण सिंह के बेटे प्रतीक ने भी इसके प्रति असहमति जाहिर की है। वह भाजपा के विधायक हैं।
