A monster winter storm on Sunday paralyzed swathes of the United States with heavy snow and ice, leaving more than a million people in the Southeast without power. New York Governor Kathy Hochul warned that the state was bracing for the longest cold stretch and highest snow totals it has seen in years, with more snow and even lower temperatures forecast in the coming days.
