CNA SM Lee Hsien Loong on safeguarding sovereignty amid global tensions

How can a country keep itself safe amid global tensions? Economy, defence and cooperation with neighbours are three main factors to preserve the sovereignty of a country, said Singapore’s Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Mr Lee noted that while Singapore resists pressure to choose sides and takes a principled stand on certain issues, it does not mean we are “the enemy of the country”.
