CNA Singapore SM Lee Hsien Loong: US intervention in Venezuela is ‘contravention of international law’

Singapore is gravely concerned by the US military intervention in Venezuela, said Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Thursday (Jan 8) during a dialogue at the ISEAS Yusof Ishak Institute Regional Outlook Forum 2026.

Mr Lee said unilateral force undermines international law and the UN Charter — a dangerous precedent, especially for small states like Singapore.
