CNA The Singaporean who runs a cat shelter in Johor Bahru

Meet Nur Amira Jumali, who spends every weekend shuttling between Singapore and Johor Bahru to feed, neuter and care for abandoned cats at a shelter she runs there.

For the past 3 years, she’s juggled her cat mission with her full-time job as a marriage counsellor, at the expense of furthering her studies or having a social life.

“I know how it feels like not to know when my next meal will be,” she tells CNA TODAY. “And so now with adult money, I make it a point to ensure that anybody I come across, be it humans or animals, do not go hungry.”
