On attending the Haryana police passing-out parade, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Of all the batches that have graduated so far… you are the first batch to have learned about the laws enacted by the Indian Parliament and will go on to serve the public… A few years ago, the country faced some major challenges related to law and order, including left-wing extremism, terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, and armed groups operating in the Northeast. However, when you joined the services after PM Modi came to power, peace had been established in all three of these regions…”
