Pets rescued after deadly Hong Kong blaze

In the aftermath of Hong Kong’s deadly Tai Po fire, rescue efforts extended beyond saving human lives to include vulnerable animals caught in the blaze. Firefighters and police risked their lives to search for pets, carrying oxygen masks and performing first aid for animals in distress. From 15-year-old cats and frightened dogs to rabbits, hamsters, parrots, turtles and even entire tanks of fish, no life was left behind.
