Intelligent prosthetic limbs are helping people with disabilities to return to activities such as rock climbing, playing piano and practicing calligraphy, reflecting the increased sophistication of China’s new technologies for the rehabilitation and assistive-device sector.

Sensors embedded in the receiving chamber capture the wearer’s neural signals. The system generates algorithms to calculate the optimal support force in real time, adaptively adjusting the joints to provide precise, responsive assistance.
