जापान से एक ऐसी खबर सामने आई है जिसका सबसे ज्यादा असर वहां रह रहे मुस्लिमों पर पड़ रहा है…दरअसल कुछ रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, जापान में नए मुस्लिम कब्रिस्तानों के लिए जमीन नहीं मिल रही है और इसके लिए स्थानीय प्रशासन ने साफ मना कर दिया है और कहा है कि जापान में कोई मुस्लिम किसी मुस्लिम शव को दफन नहीं कर सकता हालांकि इसकी वजह बताई जा रही है कि जापान में जमीन की भारी कमी है और अंतिम संस्कार से जुड़ी उनकी पारंपरिक प्रणाली।

दरअसल आपको बता दें कि जापान में बौद्ध और शिंटो धर्म का गहरा प्रभाव है और यहां लगभग 99 प्रतिशत अंतिम संस्कार क्रीमेशन यानी शवदाह के जरिए किए जाते हैं। यही वजह है कि दफनाने के लिए बड़े भू-भाग की जरूरत पड़ती है, जो जापान के शहरी क्षेत्रों में मिलना बहुत मुश्किल है।

मुस्लिम समुदाय के लिए यह स्थिति परेशानी पैदा करती है, क्योंकि इस्लाम में अंतिम संस्कार दफनाने की प्रक्रिया से ही किया जाता है। जापान में अब करीब 2 लाख मुस्लिम रह रहे हैं और संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है। लेकिन जमीन की कमी और स्थानीय विरोध के कारण कई क्षेत्रों में मुस्लिम कब्रिस्तानों के प्रस्तावों को स्वीकृति नहीं मिल पाई।
हालांकि यह कहना सही नहीं है कि जापान सरकार ने मुस्लिम दफन पर कोई “राष्ट्रीय स्तर का प्रतिबंध” लगाया है। कानूनन दफनाई की अनुमति है, लेकिन स्थानीय प्रशासन और समुदायों की आपत्तियों की वजह से नए कब्रिस्तान बन पाना मुश्किल बन गया है।
इस कारण वहां रहने वाले कई मुस्लिम परिवारों को अपने मृत परिजनों के शवों को उनके मूल देश भेजकर दफनाने का विकल्प अपनाना पड़ रहा है।
जापान की कुल आबादी करीब 12 करोड़ है, जिसमें लगभग आधी आबादी शिंटो धर्म को और लगभग 46 (छियालीस) प्रतिशत बौद्ध धर्म को मानती है। मुस्लिम आबादी कम है, लेकिन पिछले कुछ सालों में तेजी से बढ़ी है।
