CGTN Exploring China’s green technology guardianship in the Amazon

At the official reception hotel for the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, high-efficiency VRF air conditioning systems from Chinese manufacturer GREE provide a comfortable yet low-carbon environment for all the guests in the COP Village. Deep in the Amazon rainforest, GREE’s specialized cooling solutions ensure the stable operation of the Belo Monte Converter Station, which transmits clean hydropower to Brazil’s southeast and meets the electricity needs of approximately one-tenth of the country’s population. In Brazil, GREE has established seven joint laboratories in key cities, trains over 5,000 professional refrigeration technicians every year, and brings its green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly technologies and high-efficiency standards to the market. It also creates jobs and grows alongside the Brazilian market.
