On December 2, after nearly two hours of a one-on-one meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Sergei Shoigu, the delegations held extended talks. In the media-accessible session, both leaders made their remarks. Shoigu reaffirmed Russia’s support for the one-China principle and condemned recent statements by Japanese officials on Taiwan and the Kuril Islands.
