Only 24 registered survivors of the #Nanjing #Massacre are still alive today. The massacre was one of the most brutal episodes of #WWII, during which 300,000 #Chinese civilians and unarmed soldiers were killed by #Japanese forces over six weeks. Two survivors, 96-year-old Xia Shuqin and 91-year-old Liu Minsheng, visited the memorial hall in Nanjing on Sunday to honor their loved ones, two weeks before China’s 12th National Memorial Day on December 13. #China #Japan #JapanProvocation #NanjingMassacre
