The Philippines and Japan conducted their third joint maritime exercises in the West Philippine Sea on November 29, under the Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity framework. Footage showed the Philippine frigate BRP Antonio Luna and Japan’s destroyer JS Harusame carrying out coordinated drills with naval and air support, including division tactics, officer-of-the-watch training, a PHOTOEX, and a cross-deck helicopter landing to enhance crew interoperability.
