CGTN 266 skiers in Peking Opera costumes set Guinness World Record on Chinese slopes

In a stunning display of cultural fusion, 266 skiers dressed in full Peking Opera costumes set a new Guinness World Record at China’s Songhua Lake resort in Jilin Province, northeast China, on November 21. The participants, wearing elaborate makeup and traditional costumes, raced in perfect formation down the illuminated slopes for 1 kilometer. An official Guinness adjudicator certified the “Largest ski parade in Peking opera costumes” achievement, praising the flawless execution that blended Chinese cultural heritage with winter sports.
