CNA Hong Kong fire: Firefighters battle through the night; at least 13 dead

At least 13 people are dead after a massive fire engulfed several housing blocks in Hong Kong on Wednesday (Nov 26).

Firefighters are battling the blaze through the night, with thick black smoke billowing from the 31-storey towers in Tai Po’s Wang Fuk Court housing complex, home to almost 2,000 apartments. Officers at the scene said they were unable to confirm whether there are still residents stuck in the buildings by nightfall, adding that the firefighters were not able to go in.
