“We should never allow Japan to go back to fascism and militarism,” said Victor Gao, vice president of the Center for China and Globalization. He warns that what Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi does could have major repercussions, not only for the people of Japan but also for peace and security in the region and globally. He also emphasizes that China will never allow Japan to abandon its commitment to peace and calls on the international community to stay vigilant against any militaristic tendencies.
