CNA European officials welcome progress in talks on US proposal to end Russia-Ukraine war

Ukraine’s president said the main problem regarding the peace talks in Geneva is Vladimir Putin’s demand for legal recognition of the territory he has stolen. Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the remarks as Washington and Kyiv pressed on with negotiations to end the war after agreeing to modify an earlier proposal. Both sides reiterated that any eventual peace deal must fully uphold Ukraine’s sovereignty. Ross Cullen reports from Geneva.
