Métis veteran removed from Winnipeg service on Remembrance Day

A Métis veteran in Winnipeg is speaking out about his experience on Remembrance Day.
Michael Belhumeur says he was kicked out of a local veterans’ club, despite being honoured with an Order of Manitoba and King’s Coronation Medal for his work with homeless veterans.

Winnipeg’s Army Navy Air Force Veterans Association said Belhumeur was thrown out because of an alleged “threat.”

As Melissa Ridgen reports, it’s because of a dispute over what’s known as “stolen valour.”
