Brazil’s former president, Jair Bolsonaro, was filmed admitting that he used a soldering iron to tamper with his ankle monitor. The video, released on November 22, was published by penitentiary authorities. Bolsonaro was taken back into custody after a Supreme Court justice cited an escape risk linked to a planned supporters’ vigil and noted evidence of interference with monitoring.
