Al Jazeera English Nigeria abduction: More than 300 students kidnapped in Niger State

More than 300 students and teachers have been abducted from a Catholic boarding school in Nigeria’s western Niger State– in what’s now one of the worst mass kidnappings the country has ever recorded, surpassing even the Chibok schoolgirls abduction of 2014. The attack is part of a surge in school kidnappings across northern Nigeria, and authorities have now ordered dozens of schools to shut.
