जोहान्सबर्ग पहुंचते ही प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने सबसे पहले ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री एंथनी अल्बानीज़ से मुलाकात की।
दोनों नेताओं ने व्यापक रणनीतिक साझेदारी के पांच साल पूरे होने पर संतोष जताया।
रक्षा–सुरक्षा, महत्वपूर्ण खनिज, परमाणु ऊर्जा, व्यापार, शिक्षा और लोगों से मिलना…
इन सभी क्षेत्रों को और आगे बढ़ाने पर सहमति बनी।
आतंकवाद के खिलाफ वैश्विक लड़ाई को मजबूत करने पर भी दोनों देशों ने अपनी commitment पर बात की. इसके बाद प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दक्षिण अफ्रीकी बहुराष्ट्रीय टेक कंपनी नैस्पर्स के चेयरमैन और सीईओ से मिले. चर्चा निवेश, डिजिटल इकोसिस्टम, आर्टिफीशियल इंटेलिजेंस, स्टार्टअप और स्पेस सेक्टर में सहयोग बढ़ाने पर भी अच्छी खासी बात की गई. भारत के विशाल उपभोक्ता बाजार और टेक्नोलॉजी सेक्टर में नई संभावनाएं खोजने पर जोर दिया गया है। जोहान्सबर्ग में पीएम मोदी ने भारतीय मूल के tech entrepreneurs से लंबी बातचीत की।
फिनटेक, एग्रीटेक, हेल्थ टेक, सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफ़ॉर्म…
कई क्षेत्रों में उनके काम को समझा और भारत से टेक सहयोग और साझेदारी मजबूत करने का आह्वान किया। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दक्षिण अफ्रीका में बसे भारतीय समुदाय से भी उत्साहपूर्ण मुलाकात की।
Upon arriving in Johannesburg, Prime Minister Modi first met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the completion of five years of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Defense and security, critical minerals, nuclear energy, trade, education, and people-to-people contacts…

There was agreement to further advance all these areas.

The two countries also discussed their commitment to strengthening the global fight against terrorism. Following this, Prime Minister Modi met with the Chairman and CEO of South African multinational tech company Naspers. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in investment, the digital ecosystem, artificial intelligence, startups, and the space sector. Emphasis was placed on exploring new opportunities in India’s vast consumer market and technology sector. In Johannesburg, PM Modi held extensive discussions with Indian-origin tech entrepreneurs.

Fintech, agritech, health tech, social media platforms…

He appreciated their work in various sectors and called for strengthening India’s technology cooperation and partnerships. Prime Minister Modi also had an enthusiastic meeting with the Indian community settled in South Africa.
