Hindustan Times Bangladesh Earthquake of 5.7 Magnitude Rocks Kolkata and Neighboring West Bengal Districts

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Bangladesh on Friday (November 21), the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said, sending residents in Dhaka rushing out of buildings and onto the streets.

Private company employee Sadman Sakib said he had never felt such intense tremors before and immediately evacuated the office with his colleagues when they saw the furniture shaking.
