Russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev highlighted India’s growing role as a leading maritime power, saying it “fully aligns” with Russia’s strategic priorities. Speaking in New Delhi, he emphasized that strong maritime positions are vital for national security and for the creation of a multipolar world order.

Indian First Deputy Defence Minister Rajesh Kumar Singh reaffirmed that India–Russia defence ties continue regardless of geopolitical developments, adding that maritime cooperation remains a “vital pillar” of the relationship.
