Heavy rains and river overflows caused severe flooding in Bolivia’s Samaipata municipality, Santa Cruz department, particularly affecting the communities of achira and cuevas on monday. According to local authorities and reports from local outlets, at least six people are missing and several people have been injured, homes have been submerged, and the historic road connecting santa cruz to cochabamba is blocked by mud and debris.
