The rare “bubble boy disease” that impacts how a child’s immune system works and cuts them off from the outside world may have a cure after a clinical trial showed promise. NBC Washington’s Erika Gonzales spoke with a little girl who used to be confined to her home, but with treatment, is now living like other kids her age.
