Global NewsBank demands couple pay up after credit card scammed on trip

A Port Dover, Ont. couple trying to buy public transit tickets in Florence, Italy in October got scammed after the machine stole their credit card information.

They didn’t worry because they believed their BMO Mastercard would not charge them, considering they informed the bank and filed a police report right away.

But, as Sean O’Shea reports, Lisa and Roger Buis were on the hook for more than $4,000 until they asked Global News for help.
