In an interview with Firstpost, former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina criticised the country’s interim leader Muhammad Yunus for failing to protect minorities, adding that their businesses and temples are being attacked under the current administration. She said that “attacks on Hindu communities and other minorities since August 2024 are not random acts of violence. They are part of a deliberate campaign by extremist elements who have been emboldened and abetted by the current administration.” She also criticised Yunus for not holding elections even after spending fifteen months in power.
