Dramatic Collapse of Hongqi Bridge in Southwest China Following Landslide | WION Newspoint

The Hongqi Bridge, a newly constructed 758-meter highway bridge in Sichuan province, China, partially collapsed after a massive landslide struck the mountainous terrain nearby. Completed earlier in 2025, the bridge was designed to improve connectivity between central China and Tibet but had been closed to traffic a day before the incident due to detected cracks and shifting ground.
