LIC has reported a strong set of Q2 FY26 earnings with a sharp year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit. The insurer’s VNB margins improved over 145 bps, while new business growth remained steady. Persistency ratios and cost efficiencies have also shown improvement. Goldman Sachs maintained a Neutral rating with a revised target of ₹955, while Citi retained its Buy call with a target of ₹1,345, citing strong operational performance and improving business mix.
