Fan Jinlin, born in the post-95 generation, now holds the management rights to five nursing homes in Xuchang, Henan Province. It all began when his grandmother was hospitalized after a fall – at that moment, he conceived the idea of giving the elderly a different kind of life in their golden years.

Before graduating, he obtained the relevant certificates in the elderly care industry, and his first nursing home was quickly established. With a background in media studies, he immediately applied his professional skills to his elder-care career: shooting Douyin videos, acting out scenes with residents, performing songs, and even building an esports room to teach grandparents how to form teams and play “League of Legends.”

Today, he has set up a new media team that not only documents the daily lives of the elderly but also plays alongside them. This vibrant and lively lifestyle has not only brought joy to the residents but also changed perceptions of what a “nursing home” can be – inspiring many to see new possibilities for elder care.
