आज फर्स्ट फेज में 121 सीटों पर 65 परशेंट से ज्यादा वोट पड़े. जो पिछले चुनाव की तुलना में करीब आठ परशेंट ज्यादा है. सबसे ज्यादा 68 परशेंट वोटिंग बेगूसराय में हुई और शेखपुरा में सबसे कम 54 परशेंट वोट पड़े. बेगूसराय, गोपालगंज, मधेपुरा, मुंगेर और समस्तीपुर में पिछले इलैक्शन की तुलना में 11 से 14 परशेंट तक ज्यादा वोटिंग हुई. अच्छी बात ये है कि फर्स्ट फेज की वोटिंदग के दौरान कहीं से किसी तरह की हिंसा की खबर नहीं आई. छोटी मोटी घटनाएं हुईं. आपसी झगड़े हुए. उम्मीदवारों और नेताओं के बीच झड़प भी हुई. लखीसराय, तारापुर सारण और नालंदा से मारपीट और पत्थरबाजी की खबरें आईं. डिप्टी चीफ मिनिस्टर विजय सिन्हा की गाड़ी को गांव में घुसने से रोका गया, RJD के MLC पर दारू पीकर दंगा करने का आरोप लगा.

Today, in the first phase of voting, over 65 percent of the 121 seats saw voter turnout, which is about eight percent higher than the previous election. Begusarai recorded the highest voter turnout at 68 percent, while Sheikhpura recorded the lowest at 54 percent. Begusarai, Gopalganj, Madhepura, Munger, and Samastipur saw 11 to 14 percent higher voter turnout compared to the previous election. Fortunately, there were no reports of violence during the first phase of voting. Minor incidents occurred, including physical altercations and clashes between candidates and leaders. Reports of violence and stone-pelting came from Lakhisarai, Tarapur, Saran, and Nalanda. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha’s car was blocked from entering a village, and an RJD MLC was accused of rioting after drinking alcohol.
